Broadcast news is a multifaceted field encompassing everything from traditional mediums like radio and television and more innovative news forms like social video, podcasts and then digital content supporting all of the above.
Currently, as an editor for a major national news network, I oversee coverage of national politics, including elections, voters and trends with a team of political reporters. We develop, report and produce content for on air and digital platforms.
As a television producer, I have had the opportunity to work on a wide range of pieces, from celebrities to lawmakers, from people making headlines to those just fighting for something different. From segments to full shows, I am a multi-faceted journalist with experience in and out of the studio and control room. Whether it is field producing or conducting interviews, I’ve faced most production challenges.
And as a correspondent, I have cultivated the skills to tell stories both in front of and behind the camera or microphone. I’m as familiar with the social media realm as I am with the control room. From Twitter to Facebook, YouTube to TikTok, Instagram to Snapchat, I have experience with a variety of social media platforms, and the background knowledge to be successful in those spaces. Because producing isn’t just what goes on television anymore. I’m passionate about the intersection of traditional television and social media.
