One of the greatest things about being a journalist is getting to create stories to share with the world. Last week, I was able to field produce an interview with Gloria Allred on the allegations of sexual harassment against 2012 GOP presidential candidate Herman Cain. We used her interview, along with a soundbite from the American Association of University Women’s Lisa Maatz on sexual harassment in schools. It was a great segment and a great discussion. It’s moments like this I love my job; I love working in news. I love discussing stories with my coworkers and seeing all the different angles.
And that is why I’m starting this blog. I don’t have a lot of staying power. Honestly, I can barely remember to tweet regularly. I’m an irregular tweeter. But I believe I have one of the coolest jobs in the world. And who wouldn’t want to share that? So, along with my cute job anecdotes, you’ll get a look into my life and my witty musings on popular culture. As I like to say, I have a lot of opinions. You are just the lucky people to share them with.
